报告摘要:

Emerging solar cells based on a group of solution-processed organic semiconductors and organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites are under scrutiny as next-generation economically efficient thin film photovoltaic technology. Recent research has focused interest on material design, processing control, and advanced optical management to approach the Shockley–Queisser limit of power conversion efficiencies (PCEs). Additionally, understanding how to extend the long term stability of these materials and associated devices is another key challenge. In this talk, I will first report how to enhance open-circuit-voltage by tuning the energy level offsets between the donor and acceptor, and how to increase short-circuit-current density by optimizing the phase morphology with a photoactive solid-state mediator. Second, an introduction to the role of organic cation in inducing structural transition and kinetics of crystal growth in hybrid perovskites, will be presented. Third, rather than attempting to eliminate detrimental grain boundaries, I will introduce our approach that involves activating grain boundaries as active carrier collection channels for suppressed non-radiative recombination and increased carrier collection efficiency to increase the PCE. These studies enable promising pathways toward devices approaching the theoretical maximum efficiency and with long-term stability through materials design and industrially realistic processing techniques.

报告人简介:

杨斌,湖南大学材料科学与工程学院教授、博士生导师,2013年获美国内布拉斯加大学林肯分校博士学位。2017年入选国家青年千人计划(第14批公示),2017年入选湖南省“百人计划”青年百人项目,2016年入选湖南大学“岳麓学者”。曾先后供职于美国橡树岭国家实验室、劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室,从事博士后研究工作,专注于有机电子学材料与器件的基础和应用研究、以及新型有机无机杂化钙钛矿材料与薄膜结构研究等工作,曾在Nature Nanotech.J. Am. Chem. Soc.Adv. Mater.Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.等期刊发表高水平学术论文28篇,其中以第一作者在J. Am. Chem. Soc.2篇)、Adv. Mater. 2篇)、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 1篇)、Adv. Funct. Mater. 1篇)等国际权威期刊上发表6篇代表性论文。研究成果被美国能源部选为“科学亮点”(Science Highlights),并被ScienceDailyMaterials Views中国、Phys. Org等媒体报道,应邀为Nature Commun.Adv. Mater.Adv. Funct. Mater.等国际权威期刊审稿。曾获得2013年度材料研究学会(Materials Research Society)“研究生金奖”(Graduate Student Gold Award)2013年度“国家优秀自费留学生奖”、2016年度美国橡树岭国家实验室“UT-Battelle博士后奖”(该年度仅2人获奖)、2015年度美国橡树岭国家实验室CNMS Division“杰出博士后研究奖”等奖励。
